Cigar tube sizing

Hi all!

I'm looking for advice on cigar tube sizing for my boyfriend's birthday. He uses a cigar tube that came with a cigar a while back, and he has been talking about wanting a new/legit one.

I think I found one that he'd love aesthetically (hammered copper - https://www.etsy.com/listing/665869068/handcrafted-pure-copper-cigar-tube-hand), but it's 8" long and fits cigars up to 64 ring gauge. Is this too big for a pocket carried tube? Or should I aim to get something closer to his current tube size (around 6")?
