Samsung Freestyle 2 problems Macbook

I want to have a movie night through HDMI to avoid bluetooth audio lag, but the Freestyle has other ideas. It puts video by cable and audio by AirPlay. If Airplay is disconnected on Freestyle the audio goes through MacBook speakers.

Does anyone have similar problems ? How to coax it to put both audio and video by HDMI ?
