What should I buy for my brothers who like to game?

I have two brothers. One likes to play on the Xbox 1 and the other enjoys the PS5.

They have their own controllers for each console, but they are kind of old and busted so I was thinking about getting them some new ones.

I'm hoping for some recommendations about what accessories to buy for them so they can enjoy gaming more. I wanna surprise them since their birthdays are close together and coming up. I'd appreciate response about what you guys like to use and what you don't like to use.

Some game reccs would be cool too. Sadly I don't know what games they currently like/are playing
