Happening now
It had been 6-7 weeks since the first day of my last period. Several positive pregnancy tests from different brands. Parents and siblings had been told. Today I was excited, tidying, clearing a cupboard for baby supplies, making baby lists and planned to call the OBGYN my gyne suggested. Then one trip to the bathroom and the joy was over. I called my PCP, the receptionist told me I need to go to the ER. I called my Gyne they told me to call the OBGYN they suggested. The OBGYN asked for proof of pregnancy, I don’t have that yet because I planned to see them for that. Then they also told me to go to the ER.
I called my mother and my husband, they seem more worried about me than the loss. My father and MIL called and I feel guilty for feeling frustrated at them for trying to make me feel better by normalising this. “ God would not take away a baby you are meant to have”. I appreciate the intent and know they love me and mean well but telling me it was meant to happen makes me feel worse.
