Im fucking pissed

Yesterday a recruiter said about being interviewed for a job near where I live saying she could arrange a interview for me on Wednesday at 3pm I first I thought it was good news bc I could potentially getting more work from this new job as my current job is only temp. However, today I get a call from the recruiter saying the position has been filled internally it's just fucking stupid wtf do these companies bother looking at ur CV and other external candidates then proceed to hire internally plus I have to explain to work why my pretend dentist appointment is cancelled
