True friend
Being a true friend isn't agreeing with everything all the time, to show support, even in things that could be bad in the end. It's disagreeing and showing them they could be making a mistake, too. In the past I've made so many bad choices and decisions, that I wish someone said to me "HEY WAIT! RED FLAG!" but I never had that. In the end I was hurt, and struggled pretty badly, because I didn't have that guidance from peers who I thought cared for me. I only had "I was going to say something but it wasn't my place" or "I didn't like that and I wish I said it sooner". So watch me struggling and say nothing? I would have taken your opinion into account. And maybe have chosen differently. I guess I realized the hard way that not only did I not have friends who would speak up when I needed it, but I also wasn't appreciated for being that kind of person, to stand up for what is right in a bad situation. My thoughts and feelings and opinion did not matter, and it was evident. Because disagreeing was seen as an untrue friend and not someone who truly did care. And in the end, I'm so sad because I get to know deep down that someone I really care about is being taken advantage of, and settle for less than what they deserve. Meanwhile I'm expected to be sorry that I don't support it. What would you do in that sort of situation.
