Racestart AI Races

Is there a way to get rid of this STUPID way how the AI race starts? Flying start? I like it, since on most tracks there's an introduction lap, BUT when approaching the actual race start, pilots need to present themselves to the Marshalls in a clean grid formation? Is this in any way or form achievable in this otherwise great game?
