Rivian Roundup
Rivian Discontinues Limestone and Red Canyon Colors for 2026 Models
Rivian is trimming its color palette for the 2026 model year, officially discontinuing Limestone and Red Canyon. These two shades now join Compass Yellow as retired colors, leaving a smaller, more streamlined selection. The remaining colors are: Rivian has been phasing out less popular or more complex paint options to simplify production and cut costs. While fans of the earthy tones may be disappointed, this move is consistent with Rivian’s recent efforts to boost efficiency and focus on high-demand configurations.

EV Incentives Are Disappearing This Fall Under New Law
On July 3, 2025, the U.S. House officially passed President Donald Trump’s signature legislation, known as the “Big Beautiful Bill.” Among its many sweeping changes is the rollback of federal tax credits for electric vehicles and clean energy technologies. The bill is now headed to Trump’s desk for signing, which is expected to happen quickly. This move marks a major turning point for the EV market in the United States, and companies like Rivian may feel the pressure almost immediately.…
Rivian Delivers 10,661 Vehicles in Q2 2025, Prepares for 2026 Model Launch
Rivian has announced its Q2 2025 production and delivery numbers, confirming it built 5,979 vehicles and delivered 10,661 between April and June. The lower production volume was expected, as Rivian intentionally slowed output to prepare for the upcoming 2026 model year launch later this month. Despite the temporary dip, Rivian reaffirmed its full-year 2025 delivery guidance of 40,000 to 46,000 vehicles. In Q1 2025, Rivian produced 14,611 vehicles and delivered 8,640, right in line with previous guidance.
Volkswagen Boosts Stake in Rivian as EV Partnership Grows
Volkswagen is delivering its second $1 billion investment to Rivian this week after the EV maker hit key financial targets, including back-to-back quarters of gross profit. This follows VW’s initial $1 billion buy-in last year, which gave the German automaker an 8.6% stake in the company.

You can read the news above for all the latest, business-oriented news — but this week the top posts were more celebratory and fun than news-driven.
We saw a cool DUNE Delivery saying "Bye German cars" and a proud long-time lurker finally becoming a first-time buyer of a sharp LA Silver. Plus, one dedicated fan even welcomed a Second Rivian to the Family, trading up to a Gen 2 R1S.
Life with a Rivian brought some relatable moments too! There was a popular post discussing Rivian Charging Courtesy (yes, sometimes that means unplugging for others!). We also got a chuckle from an R1T size comparison that went... prehistoric. Someone shared a slightly less fortunate moment of a Rivian "Parking in the ditch... poor guy" (poor guy…), and others just shared cool shots like trucks lined up On your marks… or a patriotic Made in America, Happy 4th🇺🇸🦅 vibe.
A standout post offered a different perspective: an Amazon driver shared detailed feedback on how to "fix" the Rivian EDV van, providing valuable real-world insights.
And, of course, anticipation is high, with excitement building for the Quad Launch Edition arriving today, July 8th and the re”turn” of Tank Turn.
