Gta 5 Online On PC

So I just bought gta 5 on my PC. I use to play the game alot on my console especially online but never on pc. The problem is that I'm scared of going online on pc because I've heard a alot of how unsafe it is due to the modders and hackers. Is online finally safe now in 2025?
