(CO) half redone kitchen
I just got the keys to my new apartment and the kitchen has only been half redone. When I originally toured this place they were mid-renovation. I was told one of the changes was going to be new cabinets and countertops. I signed the lease without seeing the final changes (my mistake, I know). I saw it for the first time after getting my keys and the kitchen is mismatched. One side is new builder grade cabinets/laminate countertops and the other half is the original setup which is about 40-50 years old by my estimate. I know this is an aesthetic thing and not a functional problem but it’s really bugging me. If I knew this was going to be the end product I would’ve begged them to just leave all the original cabinetry. There isn’t anything in my lease that I could use as leverage to get it fixed, so I really don’t know if it’s worth asking my landlord about. Open to any and all advice on the issue.
