Something which is constantly bothering me

How in the earth game runners were able to make such a gigantic architecture in a secluded island ? Mind you its constantly evolving with all those games. You would need architects, engineers, labour's, big drilling machines blah blah to maintain such thing. Its quite unbelievable that it was not noticed by anyone for years!
