Summer always feels like a fever dream.

Is it just me or does summer feel… fake? Like time stretches out and melts, and suddenly it’s July 8th and you don’t know what day it is, what you’ve eaten, or if you’ve been drinking enough water. You open your phone and it’s just 45 tabs, 17 half-written messages, and a meme that ruined your entire train of thought.

Summer makes everything hazy. You leave your house to get groceries and somehow end up sunburnt, barefoot, and emotionally vulnerable. You talk to strangers more. You fall in love with a vibe. You walk at night with your headphones in, pretending you’re in a movie that doesn’t end with a breakdown in the produce aisle.

I love it. I hate it. I crave it every year like I forgot how annoying sweating is. There’s just something about the late sunsets, cheap sandals, and the way everything smells like sunscreen and potential disappointment.

Anyway. Drink water. Wear SPF. Tell people you love them or don’t. It’s summer — time’s not real anyway.
