How to pivot out of Anima Squad?

Last Game i got a Dream Anima Squad Start. after the first creep rounds i had 5 seraphines, 2 vaynes, 2 sylas and 2 illoais plus the Anima Augment that gave you the XP-Orb Drops (which i know isnt super strong but i wanted the extra units and the effect most certainly isnt bad). Well and from there Anima was kind of locked in. I got items for Vayne, Leona and Xayah and slowly played my way up until 7 Anima at Lvl 7, everything besides Xayah 2 Star, Vayne, Sera and Illaoi even 3-Star,.... just to get 5th Place. I have no Idea what else to do if i am honest. i would have even become 7th or 6th if i didnt win 2 rounds in the end through good positioning. So i think a Pivot might have been best after maybe 5 Anima. but into what? I had pure AD Items so maybe Marksman and Vanguard? But then i wouldve lost my 3 Star Illaoi and Seraphine which probably would have made me even weaker. Anyone got any tips for saving a Anima Squad Game that started well an then suddenly drops off?

Would 4 Vanguard, 5 Anima, 2 Marksmen have been a better call then 7 Anima? (i got the physical Pen Tank items, so the trade even was buffed)
