What should I upgrade my A53 5G to? 400$ max budget

My A53 has been getting slow and I also cracked the screen a while ago, so I've decided that I want to upgrade it. So far the A56 has caught my eye, it seems nice and fits my budget. But I'd like some suggestions from people that are more well documented. I'm not a big picture snapper and I don't game on my phone, but I still want something smooth, fast and well built. I am not very open to getting a second hand phone because the SH market is atrocious where I live.
