Any ideas on how to make an ugly wand prettier/girlier?

I bought a Doxy Wand original because it best fit my needs and budget. The buttons and head color are so ugly, and the toy in general looks cheap despite the hefty price tag!!

I sewed a cover for it with purple shiny fabric for hygiene and storage, but that doesn't make the actual wand prettier.
