Art dies with the bananas

Art is an abstract concept. It is an expression that is up to the individual to define in their own world. I think it's more an emotion than a result of pragmatic thoughts to consider something art. I myself don't consider duct-taping a banana to a wall art, but there are people who clearly do so, and are willing to pay millions of dollars to see it rot. Do I think it's nonsense? Yes. Do I consider it to be a mockery of those who put hard effort into their art? Kind of. Does the banana or the artist hurt anyone? No. Is it more complicated to generate and edit a nice AI picture than to duct-tape a banana on a wall? Yes. I usually use this as reference when discussing art and AI with friends or acquaintances, debating whether AI is art or not, and whether it is worth to be at each other's throat for it. I think if art dies, it dies much sooner by the hands of ripe bananas than AI. But that's just my world, and I don't wish imminent death to those who watch the banana with meditative contemplation. Nevertheless, I don't think that art will "die", neither by artists with bananas, nor by the AI, because classic forms of art still have the same value, and I would risk that they will even be considered more unique as a result of the appearance of AI image generation. The art of painting did not die out with the rise of Photoshop. What's your take on the subject of duct-taped bananas and art? If I generate and edit a sarcastic and embittered, but at the same time melancholic picture of the above mentioned banana, would it be considered art? Feel free to post your banana images in comments.

TLDR: think on this picture.

This picture is not AI generated
