Excel/Spreadsheet for FAR?

Hello all,

Totally new to this CPA exam process and have started studying for FAR about 3 weeks ago. Do you guys think Excel is a major benefit when preparing, as well as on the test? How can it be used exactly? Good luck to everyone. If anyone has some recommendations for FAR, please let me know!!
