mom saw my scars and yelled at me in front of my family

we’re currently on vacation right now and were about to go swimming but my mom saw all the scars on my arms when i was putting on sunscreen. she started yelling at me while my other family members were in the room with us and she was saying a bunch of stuff like “why are you a crazy person now? you’re copying what people do online huh?” and it hurt so much i just started crying right there.

my aunt came in and told my mom to stop making things worse but my mom said that she needs to talk to me in this way so that “i know that there’s something wrong with me”. my family is out swimming right now but i already know that my mom is probably big mouthing to everyone else in the family that i cut myself. i’m just hiding in the hotel bathroom right now hoping that i don’t have to talk about my mental health problems for the rest of the vacation.
