CMV: Women are so beautiful, I wish they were good people.

Let me start by saying this isn’t meant to be a blanket statement about all women. I am not an incel please let me hit. I fully recognize that there are kind, honest, empathetic, and amazing women out there many of whom I’ve had the privilege to meet. But my personal experiences, along with what I see in dating culture and social media, have left me feeling disillusioned.

It feels like beauty is often used as leverage rather than a reflection of inner character. I’ve had repeated experiences where women I found stunning ended up being manipulative, self-centered, or uninterested in meaningful connection unless there was something in it for them money, attention, status, etc. And I know this behavior isn’t exclusive to women, but it stings more when it comes from someone I was genuinely drawn to and hopeful about.

There’s a disconnect between how beautiful many women are and how (some) treat others including men especially in dating or relationships. I understand attraction shouldn’t cloud judgment, but it’s hard not to wish that inner beauty matched outer beauty more often.

To be clear: I’m not saying “all women are bad” or that men are inherently better far from it. But it’s been hard not to become jaded. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places, or maybe I have unrealistic expectations. I’m open to hearing other perspectives people who’ve had different experiences, or those who can help me understand what I might be missing.
