David Sacks sucks. A polemic that has nothing to do with the Bar Exam. Because why? You all need a break today to think about something else! Like how messed up the world is!
If you think about it what David Sacks is saying is that "I have the right to be safe, but poor people don't."
Because jobs provide people with security, when they don't have money.
David Sacks doesn't have a real job, he is a podcaster.
David Sacks job is his money. His money keeps him safe through interest.
David Sacks's equivalent to a job for his safety is his money.
Regular people's safety is provided by their jobs.
But regular people's jobs are not safe.
Whilst David Sacks is demanding his money must be safe.
Why the double standard?
Why aren't regular people afforded more safety in their lives? They need jobs to live.
David Sacks needs his money to live. Because he wouldn't ever undignify himself by doing something like working the floor of an Amazon warehouse.
So David Sacks is saying his money is guaranteed. His safety is guaranteed.
But regular people, no, not even close.
They'll just have their jobs outsourced or automated away. And be given no resources for retraining, or no resources for a real job or shot at a happy life.
Meanwhile, David Sacks spent years relying on those regular people to put together his cars, his watches, his electronics, his appliances, to build his homes. Sew his clothes. Grow and harvest his food. Drive the trucks to deliver all that shit to him.
WHAT. AN. ASSHOLE.
