Just an appreciation post for the veterans from a newbie

Approaching 9 months on the job. Really enjoy it even though the workload and chaotic nature of it can drive me crazy some days. Despite being a rookie I'm very hands on and trying to stay involved with everything.It sucks that we don't get the same terms as you but I know it's in the company's best interest to maintain a 2 tier workforce. From my experience most veteran posties are respectful and understanding of the news starters' struggles.They are as bitter as us when it comes to the fact that their colleaques dont get paid the same and to be honest they are the only ones that maintain a proper balance in the office. Usually in my depot its the new starts that start early, work for free and generally letting crap attitutes and practices to keep going.I believe the whole old timers - newbies dichotomy should stop and we should realise that we are all workers in a company that wants to break us in a million pieces to get more money. We're fighting the same battle and we (new starts) have a lot to learn from people who take the time to teach us. My respect for a job well done and I think I speak to a lot of us rookies that plan to stay, we see your hard work. Lets hope for a better future for our graft.
