Solo travelling to Houston for my birthday - what should I check out?

Hello all, it's my birthday this weekend and I'm thinking about driving to HTX from Austin to buy something from craigslist and then I might stay for a couple days and check out the city. I've lived in Austin my whole life and I'm thinking about moving as well since I'm tired of Austin. Give me suggestions for stuff to check out please, I'm going to be staying around the Heights area.
