Harris and Cady

SpoilerSpoilers

Why does he seemingly forgive her for what she did? I understand pushing his fake narrative for the sake of the moms and the family reputation. But why still make Cadence his heir? Did he give her the pearls to spite her? He even says several times that she acted like a true Sinclair. It made sense if Harris thought she tried to save the dogs. But it doesn’t make sense to me if he knows that she intended to burn down the house. Is it all still an act on his part? For his reputation? All season it is implied that he can make anyone his heir, and that his favors change constantly. I suppose his will shows that he always favored Cadence because she was the eldest granddaughter.
