Lin "Harry" Haoran
Relation: Father
Age: 48
Profession: Low-Level Curator at the Met Museum
Relationship:
Haoran was a first generation immigrant who himself came from incredibly strict working class parents, but had a passion for history that he passed on to his daughter. This love for history and dedication to its preservation drew the attention of the Muse of History herself, and perhaps she had some part in helping him land a cushy job as a curator of rare antiquities in the museum's vast Byzantine collection. Despite being busy, the job was well paid enough that Yue never had to see the struggles her father did- which was the intention and not something Haoran let Yue feel, especially when Yue herself was so dedicated to their craft in her own right and a downright academic weapon. He is proud of her daughter and he made sure that she knows it, even if they don't get to spend alot of time together. When the time came, he didn't hide her divine heritage from her either though being a second generation immigrant, Yue's connection to her Chinese roots is tenuous and superficial at best. Despite living a privileged life, Haoran tried to make sure that his daughter is humble, a lesson that Yue took most keenly.
Clio
Relation: Divine Mother
Age: Old as history
Profession: Muse of History
Relationship:
Claire has never met Clio, but she feels a deep connection to her roots and feels a responsibility to document history in an unbiased and accurate account. She respects her mother and somewhere deep down craves her validation but is generally is very detached about her feelings about Clio.
Dorian Seymour
Relation: Half-Brother
Age: 17
Profession: Counsellor of the Muse Cabin at Camp Half-Blood
Relationship:
Yue is someone who has always cared about her siblings and cousins, a sentiment she shares with Dorian so naturally they were rather close. They bonded over their mutual love for history and understanding of how important it is to record history. Their final conversation before Yue left Camp was bittersweet, with Dorian wanting his sister to be safe but at the same time understanding the importance of what she's doing. He didn't stop her, but they decided that once the dust has settled they would compile their accounts of the history to make one complete record of everything that happened in the war.
Harper Morales
Relation: Cousin
Age: 17
Profession: Editor-in-Chief of the Camp Half-Blood Chronicle
Relationship:
Harper is someone Yue likes quite alot and respects. She enjoys Harper's work as the editor-in-chief and likes her work as a journalist, and she feels some kinship with her because she feels like Harper also in her own way understands their duty as the children of the Muses and supports her endeavours to be honest and support the truth. Their final conversation left things on a bitter personal note between them, with Harper telling Yue that there is no such thing as an unbiased historian and that there will come a time where Yue will either be complicit or will need to take a stand, something that Yue, perhaps in her overconfidence, disagreed with firmly. Despite their fight, Yue still cares about Harper and hopes for the best for her.
Caspian Kaito
Relation: Cousin
Profession: Student at NYU
Relationship:
Like most other muse kids, Yue felt herself rather close to Caspian, and he was someone she really looked up to and still does to this day. She tries to keep in touch and looks to him for guidance. She hasn't spoken to him since she left Camp but is pretty sure he knows of her actions via her cousins at the Muse Cabin. She is looking for opportunities to talk to him again since though that is proving to be difficult in the Main Atlas Camp.
Natasha Ramirez-Belyaeva
Relation: Ex-Girlfriend
Profession: Medic at Camp Half-Blood
Relationship:
Nat and Yue dated briefly last year, though the relationship didn't last for more than a couple weeks after Natasha realised how obsessive Yue is over her notes. Yue wasn't too broken up about it, since she hadn't been super invested anyways. Sometimes she wonders if things could've gone differently, but she could never change her priorities.

Her Records - Massive binders full of events and interviews that she recorded. She is incredibly touchy over it and will not hesitate to resort to physical violence should anyone dare touch it. She is also rather proud of it and is obsessed over making sure its thorough and well-organised
-
Tape Recorder and Records - Yue has a habit of interviewing people and learning their stories, so she keeps a tape recorder to record her interviews. She usually transcribes them into her records afterwards.
-
Pen Collection: Her notes are all handwritten, so she has a collection of fancy fountain pens and a plethora of ink pots.
-
DSLR and Polaroid Camera: Despite having photographic memory and ways to project it, Yue likes to take photos of events to record them. She has a collection of photos she took at Camp of events she recorded. She also has a collection of polaroids that she took with her friends that she keeps hidden away.
Archivist's Notes: Maybe this should've been a journal entry.... Whatever it's fine, my own entry isn't as important as the others.
Backstory:
Yue is a second-generation Chinese-American immigrant who comes from a relatively privileged background with her dad having a rather cushy if not busy job as a curator at the Met Museum. Despite this, she stays humble though her privilege does mean that she has never seen much struggle herself, which perhaps is the reason why she is able to remain so neutral on most issues. She's always had a deep passion about history and loved talking to people and learning their stories. This talkativeness even got her in trouble at school on occassion but her nearly flawless academic and extracurricular (music and vocation particularly) record more than made up for anything of the sort.
This did not change when she arrived at Camp. It took her some time to process the fact that she is borne of a goddess but ever since she learnt that her mother is the Muse of History herself, she's felt that she is duty bound to record history and people's stories and it is a duty that she places above all else in her life. She had a very active and involved life while she was at Camp, and her thirst for learning and conversational nature lead to her having many friends and many more records of the people she spoke to.
When the time came and Atlas made his announcement, Yue was thrown into conflict. She knew it was war and maybe deep down knew that Atlas was right, but at the same time seeing how well recorded everything was at Camp, she felt duty-bound to join Atlas, not because she supports him but because she felt it was important to record that side of history as well, because this is history in the making. So, bound by her self-assigned duty, Yue left Camp and all her friends and family behind to join Atlas as a Chronicler to record the events and people who took part in them from their side.
Though she'd never admit it, this changed Yue deeply. She went from someone incredibly bubbly and extraverted and caring to a detached, indifferent third party observer. She still goes out of her way to talk to people and learn their stories, but she has suppressed any sense of right or wrong because she believes that right or wrong doesn't matter, what matters is recording the story from an unbiased perspective. Doing so only made her habit of suppressing her own indivuality, beliefs and personality for the sake of an unbiased record worse but the daugher of Clio sees nothing wrong with that.
If there are no unbiased historians, its because no one else was doing it right, she says.
Archivist's Notes: Right. That should be all. If I missed anything I'll fill it in later. Time to head out now.
Now:
- Outside Traitor Tents - Afternoon
Yuexi squinted and adjusted her glasses as she stepped out into the sunlight. It had just been dawn when she'd started updating her records but from the looks of it, it was well past noon now. Where had the time gone? Whatever. It didn't matter. It was time.
She had been at the Atlas Camp long enough biding her time and just helping people out at the Medic Tents. Now that she had established herself better here, it was time to do what she really came to do. Take the accounts and record the people at the Atlas Camp.
So, with her binder tucked beneath her arm and a pen tucked behind her ear, Yuexi strode through the Atlas Camp looking for people to talk to. She didn't have her medic duties till the evening so she figured she could just go around and socialise for now. On occasion she can be seen speaking to monsters and taking notes with a concentrated look about her, and wacking monsters with her rather heavy looking binder when they did anything suspect.
- Medic Tents - Evening
Yuexi was walking through the Medic Tent with a ledger in hand, looking placid as ever as she looked over the various patients laid out on cots. On occasion she'd sit down and dose someone with nectar or ambrosia, change their bandages or simply just sit and have a chat with them.
Admittedly, Yuexi wasn't great at this whole healer thing. She was kind of just adlibbing this whole thing going off of her memory of Nat healing people, though Nat was also a daughter of Hades and not particularly experienced at the time so it wasn't exactly a great point of reference, but seemingly it was good enough that she kept her job as a medic. She needed to do something to earn her keep after all, and she was a whole lot more willing to heal people than she was to fight anyone.
Besides, it gave her an excuse to sit down with people who were sick and injured and hear their stories.
- Around a Bonfire - Night
Yuexi was tearing into some pork ribs she'd been served by cyclops turning the spit. It'd been an... Interesting day, that was for sure and having decided to skip lunch, she was practically starving come dinner time. She was sitting alone, but the space next to her was free if anyone wanted to give her company while she ate. On her lap sat an open book, seemingly the biography of some ancient Chinese Emperor.
Some part of her ached. Around this time she'd have normally been sitting and laughing with her siblings and cousins at the Muse Cabin. She shoved that pain down under the juicy meat she was shovelling into her face. She was here for a task, and that task was more valuable than any other petty concern like homesickness or missing her friends and family.
Yue wiped her hand on a handkerchief and turned the page on her book.
