Best way to Costa Brava?

Planning to go to Costa brava, specifically Santa Susanna area.

What would be the best and more time efficient airport to travel from, Barcelona or Girona?

Girona seems closer than Barcelona, so it would be good to know how long the journeys would be on either bus or train from both airports.
