Just got to the DLC. What is the earliest place I can farm for the Messmer Soldier's Spear?

Looking to take on the DLC with the Messmer Soldier's Spear and I'm wondering how far into the DLC I have to go to get the Spear. I would like to get it as soon as possible, any ideas?
