Anyone gotten dental work done in pregnancy?

More specifically a root canal. I’ve needed this done for at least a year, if not more, but my insurance didn’t cover it and I finally have gotten special approval from my insurance and they will cover it and I pushed it back a couple months already because the dentist recommended doing it in the second trimester and not the first. My tooth is not in a great deal of pain, but it still needs to get done.

My doctor and the dentist both say that it’s generally safe if necessary. I’m just an anxious person and I worry about potential complications or issues to baby?
