[Online][5E][EST/EDT] New DM - Looking to run official campaigns!

Game: D&D 5e, 5.5e
Time zone: EST/EDT (GMT -5/-4)
Game style: Would like to have an interactive Role-play mixed with combat.
Platforms: DND Beyond, Roll20, Discord, and I have used an ambience sound service prior.

About Me

I'm fairly new to D&D in general, having only picked up actually playing this year. From the first moments of playing, the aspect of DM'ing immediately appealed to me and I began setting up a game for a few friends. I found that working through the narrative, testing the encounters, helping players with their characters, and setting up an ambience to be incredibly fun. Granted there have been some growing pains as I learn how to keep the story progressing and how to move away from the direct RAW DM'ing, it has only made me want to dive deeper and gain more experience to grow my own style.

All to say, I'm very invested in developing myself as a DM and am looking for a group or individual players who want to come along on this journey and are open to giving constructive feedback.

Expectations

• Experience: Open to everyone, whether you're a veteran or this is your first venture.
• Communication: Vocal interaction through discord is the only requirement, video participation is optional.
• Age: 18+ While these sessions won't delve into NSFW content, I'd rather not monitor your out of RP conversations.
• Be Respectful: This is a social game that requires working with other people. Intolerance will not be tolerated and causing unnecessary disruptions to the campaign will be reviewed.
• Content Warnings: I will ask all players if there is content they would like me to avoid, but in general the worlds of D&D explore more mature concepts through violence and social issues.

What module would we play?

I'm very open to running whatever the party is interested. Currently I own two adventures, Curse of Strahd and Phandelver and Below, but am definitely able to pick up a new book to expand my collection if the group shows interest in a specific campaign. A few of the ones at the top of my list to pick up are Dragon Delves, Tomb of Annihilation, Tyranny of Dragons,  The wild beyond the witchlight, Candlekeep Mysteries, Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, Dragons of Icespire Peak, and more.

As for the version of the fifth edition, my experience is entirely in the 2014 rule set, but have access to the 2024 books and am absolutely down to catch up on the updates. Beyond this, I also own most of the expanded rule sets and will be using the compendium sharing to give everyone access to create their ideal adventurer.

When would we play?

My schedule is pretty open and I can mostly shift things around what works to make the game the most accessible. I do have a set schedule job and an active campaign being run so there are a few limitations that you can find below. The times are listed in EST/EDT and also GMT in parentheses if that's easier to translate.

• Sunday: 00:00 - 19:30 (04:00 - 23:30)
• Monday: 19:00 - 24:00 (23:00 - 04:00)
• Tuesday: 19:00 - 24:00 (23:00 - 04:00)
• Wednesday: 19:00 - 24:00 (23:00 - 04:00)
• Thursday: 19:00 - 24:00 (23:00 - 04:00)
• Friday: 00:00 - 24:00 (04:00 - 04:00)
• Saturday: 00:00 - 19:00 (04:00 - 23:00)

I'm in, what's next?

Feel free to reply either here, in a DM on the site, or reach out to me on discord (Inzuka) with the following information.

• Experience level (I'm 100% down to help you learn, but I just need to know you need that help!)
• Are there any specific adventures you want to play, or are you open to anything?
• What times work for you and how often do you want to play? (Please base this off the above schedule, feel free to give me all your times minimums and maximums.)
• What do you want from this experience? (Are you looking to learn, Get into some deep role-play, maybe tear up the enemy in combat?)
• Do you have any concerns? (I'd rather you voice them as soon as you have them!)

Once there are enough players with a matching schedule and interest in a campaign, I'll reach out to those individuals to set up a session 0 meet and greet, finalize the campaign setting, and help with integrating characters.
