Do I Accept This or Move?

Misc

Wanted direction if this is normal expectations or if I am just being picky. Note, I did Hilton Honors for 15+ years and switched over to Marriott last year due to more of my International Travel under the Marriott umbrella.

Checked into a Fairfield Suites down South USA today. I normally stay at a Townplace Suites nearby but that property was sold out so I'm here. Not the best city, but we know that and the Townplace and HGI we usually use are next to each other in a busy shopping district. Fairfield in down the road about 5 miles away from the main strip.

Hotel is undergoing construction (didn't notify or I wouldn't have booked, but I can live with it). But I get to my room and it's "newly rennovated"....so new infact all the walls are white, no decor, factory stickers are still on the tub, no alarm clock or phone in the room. TV remote wont turn tv on/off but will do everything else (got a second remote and it did the same thing). I asked the manager twice for an alarm clock and phone, she said she would bring them but left for the day before she did.

But now what gets me...I was coming down to get something out of my car and front desk agent was in the middle of the lobby with two police officers talking about people hanging around the hotel who are not registered guests asking to remove them from property. Police are telling him there's nothing they can really do. I get out of there. I come back about 2 hours later to pick up dinner delivery and police car is still sitting out front.

Now at this point I'm not feeling the most safe, I'm a solo female business travler..I've asked for a phone twice and you haven't delivered it (have a cell phone, but like the phone for direct link to front desk). Police have been parked outside the front entrance for 2 hours (or left and returned a second time in a night) because there's people hanging out you don't want here.

At this point should I ask to end the reservation and move or just sit it out and don't return to this locaiton? I have 4 more nights here. Other option to move to a Residence Inn about 20 mins down the road (same rate) I reached out to Marriott about my options as management wasn't on site this morning at the hotel they wont do anything (whole other issue for me).
