CIO - When did naps *click* for you?

I started full extinction with my 5 month old exactly two weeks ago for both nights and naps, primarily to eliminate the pacifier.

By night 3 he stopped crying at bedtime and hasn’t cried since.

Naps are another story. At the beginning he would cry for a few minutes and then fall asleep for one sleep cycle. He’s connected cycles a couple of times. But now at the 2-week mark, crying is worse than ever.

Yesterday naps 1 & 2 were perfect. Just a couple minutes of fussing and then he slept for 1.5 hours. I didn’t even notice him waking between cycles. It seemed perfect.

Today, he cried for 20 minutes for nap 1 and 10 minutes for nap 2.

My first (unicorn) never cried for any sleep and the thought that this is the new norm is keeping me up at night!

Is it normal for it to get worse 2 weeks into it? When did naps click for your baby?
