Renunciation of Chinese nationality

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if we are able to renounce the Chinese nationality in a Chinese embassy or it’s something I would have to do in Hong Kong I have a HKID permanent three stars and due to the country of my passport not allowing dual citizenship I do have to give that up. Also if I do give up my HKID does that mean I can’t use the DED?
