started going to chiropractor for the first time and wanted input on his recommendations?

My gym was offering free chiropractor assessments and I discovered that I have a subluxation in my left shoulder blade, which does explain this tightness/knottiness i've always felt in my upper back for the past 3 years that wasn't ever painful enough for me to want to get it checked, but annoying enough for me to wonder why this is the case. For context, I actually remember when this condition started becoming noticeable, and it was during an extremely stressful period of my life so it's most likely stress induced. Also, i never felt like this tightness in that area was debilitating since I have a daily yoga practice and actually have a very flexible back/mobile shoulders, so it wasn't like I had restricted range of motion. However, I can see how over time this "subluxation" has resulted in overcompensation in other muscles in the area--i've always felt like i've had hyperactive traps and lats, and I tend to have to move around if i sit for too long because my upper back gets uncomfortable.

I sought out a separate chiropractor at a clinic who is covered by my insurance for treatment and he recommended I come into the clinic 3-4x a week initially and then slowly taper down to 1-2x a week. Is this a normal recommendation? It just seems so frequent, but I do want to correct this condition as i do feel like it's impacted my sleep and ability to sit still.
