How do i actually improve at basketball?
So i play basketball at a small team for 2 years (this isn't actually a team, we just train stuff there, BUT we have a U19 team, who play against the others in a league), and i suck tbh, (DETAILS, this isnt a spoiler, but i hid it because these are the problems, and i dont want to ruin my post by making it difficult to read) >!i have attention problems and i live not in my country, so i only manage to do what trainers tell to do when we practice stuff like dribbling, passing and shooting when they show what i need to do, not when they tell, and i manage to screw it up even when this is the case. i am not bad at shooting, i cannot do 3 pointers yet, and i kinda suck at layups. i dont know how to defend at ALL because i usually train alone and when i do defending against someone i'm too afraid to do any physical contact, and when i try not to be afraid i hit someone in the head by an accident. i barely do any dribbling between the legs, my dribbling sucks with the left hand, and i always screw up my passes, one time when i was playing and a guy was passing to me i slammed the damn ball and everyone cussed me.!< i started avoiding basketball for a few months playing hockey instead because it is a huge sport in the country i live in. and because i am too old to play hockey, and i really liked the sport i played it by myself but since i didnt have access to the rink, i played on a basketball court on rollerblades and a specialized puck, and the reason why i wrote that down is because i was alone, and i myself learned how to do all that stuff, and now i want to go back to basketball, but i dont know how to train! what should i start with, and what should i focus on?
