Mental gymnastics

Can someone explain to me the mental gymnastics that some people in here exhibit? Part of a conspiracy sub but believe:

My politicians good and others are bad

One religion is real none of the other ones are

Religion was just goverment before government had the power and all people involved in upper level goverment are compromised

Anything the news and media is pushing is planned and is there to distract and divide you

It's not hard to see
