What the hell happened to my oral microbiome?

Advice Wanted

2 month ago I had severe depression and I didn’t brush, floss, or clean my tongue for 3 weeks.

Now I also was smoking cigarettes, drinking energy drinks and eating plenty of sugar.

Here’s what happened to my teeth and gums. My teeth became a bit yellower and developed a soft white film over it. I thought after 24-72 hours plaque hardens to tartar right? But in my case it just stayed as plaque and was soft. In the past I would develop tartar in that time frame. So what has changed?

My gums also did not become inflamed. They looked just fine.

The weirdest part is that my breath absolutely did not smell during those 3 weeks. This is not me being delusional. No one mentioned anything about my breath.

Obviously what I did was stupid and I did begin to brush recently. After those 3 weeks when I first brushed that plaque immediately came off my teeth. My teeth felt incredibly smooth. Smoother than it ever felt in my life.

My oral microbiome must have changed right? Nothing else can explain it.
