AsyncParticles vs Particle Core

Performance mod enthusiasts, which one of these two mods is better for purely optimizing particle rendering: AsyncParticles or Particle Core? These mods also offer other utilities outside of pure optimization, but I'm interested in knowing what people found about them in terms of performance.
