Recreational 100m LJ plan
28 year old, always kept fit, never been a good sprinter. Trained for distance for years before realizing I liked sprinting more. Moved down in distance from 800 to 400 and now finally to 100 and LJ. How is this?
M Stretching, climbing wall for 25m Targeting strength, but mostly just an active rest
T 8x20m 4-point starts with 200m walk, stretching. Targeting accel and technical work (learning to start)
W Stretching, 4-5 long jumps with 30m run up Targeting accel and technical work (learning to jump)
T 5x50m with 350m walk, stretching Targeting accel and top speed
F Stretching, climbing wall for 25m Targeting strength, but mostly just an active rest
S Stretching, 4-5 long jumps with 30m run up Targeting accel and technical work (learning to jump)
S 3x150m with 650m walk rest Targeting speed endurance
2 things about this are training every day and the lack of weights. This is mostly just due to.personal preference, I feel far better when I've trained in the morning, and I prefer all these workouts to weights (as well as weights making me too sore to train for days). This might not be optimal, but I'm never making the Olympics anyway. However, I can change this if this essentially renders the program pointless.
Feedback on this, or anything else, greatly appreciated!
