nurses’ nails

why are nurses wearing fake nails? is it a generational thing? lack of education on the matter? the profession declining into people only interested in it for the money?

I thought these people wanted to help people and to save lives, now they’re more concerned with appearances than bacteria it seems!

has something changed? was all the research debunked or was it never true or what’s going on?

i know it’s NOT allowed in most places, but it seems they have enough demand with low supply and strength in numbers to break these rules.

i’m getting freaked out by how many long sets and “stealth” sets i’m seeing in hospitals and urgent care!
