Van rental advice

Looking to rent a campervan for 6 weeks and experience many different environments in Western USA and BC, Canada---urban, wilderness, and everything in between. I know from reviews to stay away from Indie. Looking to start in my home state of Colorado. Anyone have advice? (Renting is a firm decision, as it compares to $ of airbnbs, and will save me a lot of hassle if I decide it's not for me. Buying then regretting is not something my nerves can handle right now, amid all my other transitions.) Thanks for chiming in with your experiences!
