Litre bike for touring and track

I am going to get my full motorcycle license in a few months and I am looking to get a litre bike that would fit for both long tours and track riding (with more focus on touring). I recently rode an old R1 that I borrowed from my friend and damn, i love it, but the powerband is very hard to manage and of course the position is too uncomfortable for long tours. Also, i would rather have something newer with configurable TCS and ABS modes. What can you recommend here? currently i am looking on BMW 1000XR and maybe GSXS1000GT. I checked Ninja 1000/1100sx, but i dont like how it looks, same with versys. H2 would obviously be an overkill. I’d prefer inline 4 engines, but minimum 3 cylinders is a requirement.

I am not planning to use the bike in city, only longer tours (i recently did 12h of riding in a single day on a naked bike and the only problem was wind), and on track sometimes.
