Bill introduced requiring ICE/CBP to identify themselves and prohibits masks. Conservative reactions?
Democratic lawmakers have introduced a bill that would require ICE/CBP officers to wear legible ID, to include the agency name and would prohibit officers from wearing masks in most cases. Obviously, this is a political non-starter, but nevertheless I am curious what conservatives think. Why shouldn’t law enforcement identify themselves? Why would anyone oppose this basic transparency measure? If a masked, armed man told you he was law enforcement, would you take him at his word or would you expect to be able to verify he is who he claims to be?
