I need a hand with fixing my CNS Fatigue and sleep issues

Carnivore Diet Help & Advice (No Plant Food & Drink Questions)

Hi Everyone,

Just throwing this out here to the community because I need a hand putting together the last piece of the puzzle for my health issues which consists of me having poor recovery and sleep issues that I believe is related to CNS fatigue or something along those lines. I have been carnivore since last December (mostly strict but I occasionally cheat on the weekends) and the reason why I switched to this diet to begin with was to help me with my health issues. While I am significantly better on this diet, I still feel like my energy levels and my sleep are not where they should be. The biggest problem I have is that any level of stress on my CNS results in me being unable to sleep so one small coffee or light exercises results in me having crippling insomnia.

Any thoughts what I could do to resolve these issues?

Some more info about me:

  • I eat a relatively diverse carnivore diet consisting of red meat (beef, lamb, bison, etc.), pork, chicken, seafood (shellfish including clams, shrimp, salmon), and dairy (butter, whole milk, and kefir) with most of sources of meat being organic and highly quality cuts

  • My job itself (and life in general) is completely stress free and I have major worries of any kind (I live a pretty charmed life)

  • I take no supplements except beef organ pills in the morning and bone broth powder at night

  • I add Assuie Trace Minerals to my water for electrolytes and I do salt/add spices to my food

  • I do drink coffee and I do understand that could be one of the sources of my problems. However, I have quit it many times for months at a time and it has not significantly improved my energy levels. I find myself being dragged back to coffee in order for me to function throughout the day and I feel like I am using coffee to mask to the underlying energy issues I have

  • I do not drink alcohol or consume any drugs (besides the previously mentioned coffee)

  • I have ruled out sleep apnea as being a problem

Now before anyone asks, I have a doctor's appointment next Friday and I plan to do some private testing as well. I am also reluctant to utilize supplements to fix this issue as I personally feel like they would just make the problem worse (another reason why I am on this diet was to stop taking all the supplements I was previously taking).

Thanks for the help everyone!
