Recorder for meetings, is Zoom H2n Handy Recorder any good?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a portable recorder to capture in-person meetings (for housing associations), usually held in a theater-style setup — meaning most participants are seated facing the front, and one or more people speak from the front of the room.

The goal is to transcribe the audio afterward using software like Turboscribe (so clear voice pickup is essential). Would the Zoom H2n be a good choice for this kind of environment? I’m considering the surround mode or stereo X/Y. Any tips on placement, settings, or alternative recorders that might work better are very welcome. Thanks!
