What can i expect from the seller regarding passenger airbag.

Hi guys,
so around 2 months ago a bought a Volkswagen Polo via a dealership in the Netherlands. I am quite content with it, but few days ago i saw that the passenger airbag was turned off (a knob that can be turned with the car key between the body and the passenger door. I decided to turn it on, but that resulted in a yellow warning light on the dashboard. Is the seller responsible for this? Or should i have checked that on purchased and i am expected to pay for this? Thanks!
