Daily Artist Spotlight #190 (7/7): Viperactive

Seems a bit early but I'm on a tight schedule here.

Who is he?

Name: Julian Gooden

Julian Gooden, aka “Viperactive” is an 18 year old bass music artist from Chandler, AZ. He started at an early age playing heavy metal drums, and went on to start producing at age 14. His love for heavy music can be heard throughout his own style, being influenced by acts like Slipknot and Metallica.

Viperactive active has recently been active in 2025 but his debut expand way back in 2022 with a collab from the spaghetti chef himself Spag Heddy. His style was shifted from Dubstep to currently trap and honestly being one of the best Trap producers this year.

His records:

1st song: Latchkey Kids (2017, Self release)

Debut track: INSANE (w/ Spag Heddy) released on October 13th 2022

Most popular song on the label: Anxious (239K plays)

Most popular song ever: Throw It Back (993k plays)

Longest Song: Invane (3:42)

Shortest Song: Anxious (2:22)

Last Appearance On The Label: Snakebite released on May 2nd 2025

Years he had appeared on: 2022, 2025

Appearance On Best Of Comps: 0 (Invane was heavily snubbed in 2022 on of the best dubstep tracks of 2022 imo)

Fun facts:

Before his Monstercat debut he had an EP on Disciple called "Uncaged" (it was released a week before his debut).

He said in a reddit post that Skrillex was the reason he got into EDM

Me personally.........I said this earlier but his performance going into 2025 is easily makes him one of my favorite artists this year. I listen to his EP on Disciple few years back and hands down it became one of my favorites. I'm glad he's sharing his style since also highly recommend his stuff outside the label. If this is the future for trap then we're here for the ride. But what do yall think about Viperactive. (Crazy how I love Snakes now thanks to this guy).
