Tattoo Waivers?

Not sure if anyone would know for sure so Im hoping there are some recruiters/commanders in here who have experience. So Im currently getting 2 small face tattoos removed, my recruiter told me not to remove the line work on my neck/throat bcus he was pretty confident he could get it approved (No criminal, good medical, 99 on practice asvab etc) but of course no guarantees. Well Its coming up on 3 weeks now. We have been in contact but I’m anxious. How long does it usually take to get them approved? Is the fact its taking so long a good or bad thing? Thank you.
