How does the red terror work

Just a simple question for the red terror card from the warhammer 40K tyranid deck. If I would put a +1/+1 counter on the red terror whenever a red source card deals damage to a player does the card need only red mana in it’s cost or can it also have blue or green along with red mana in the cost of the card for the trigger to happen?
