One week and lost half my vegetable garden

Not even a week really, 5 days when both husband and I had to be traveling.

Come back to my squash, melon, cucumbers, peas, and tomatoes decimated by hornworms or squirrels (turns out ground squirrels are a really good reason not to remove the weed barrier...)

Hopefully the new seeds I planted can still grow in the heat that's coming. But just needed to process my grief somewhere! Last year my garden was a bunch of containers on a third-floor apartment balcony and I thought aphids and spider mites were the worst I'd deal with.
