Apartment lease help needed!

My roommates and I found an apartment and got approved today. On the lease we noticed it says no pets allowed even tho we had mentioned we have a tiny dog and she was approved. The realtor says that leases are structured to rent individual rooms so it won’t be changed but since all 4 of us are renting the place together and the pet is pre approved, he will send a separate email saying in our case the pet is approved. Will this suffice? It’s a perfect home and we don’t want to lose it! So we really want to sign the lease !

Urgent info needed please !! (We are all international students so we really could use some info)
