I really want to get into Dynamic Recon Ops, but i completly suck at them

As in title, could use a few pointers. I have no idea what am I doing wrong. I usually try to get close to enemy controlled area, ideally from a high ground - but when firefight starts im usually shredded.

Any tips on how to suck less?
